Job Software Engineer
- Job title: Software Engineer

- Hours per week: Full-Time
- Experience: 3 years or more in a relevant position

OpenIIoT is looking to expand its team of experts & engineers in Industrial digitalization with a passioned Software Engineer.
Your task will be to develop and implement reliable, scalable, and cyber-secure IIoT & Industry 4.0-based digitalization and software solutions for companies, typically manufacturers and companies relying on heavy machinery. You will be working with your team members under the lead and guidance of the solution architect to achieve the best possible solution for the client.

Tasks
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support digitalization and IIoT software solutions for industrial applications.
- Ensure cyber security, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in digitalization, IIoT, and related technologies.
Experience with
- C/C++, Python, Git.
- MQTT, REST, RabbitMQ.
- Designing, building, testing & documenting secure, scalable, reliable, and well-designed production ready software.
- Software Containers, inc Docker, Podman, Kubernetes.
- Linux OS, ideally Debian and Yocto.
- SQL & ideally NoSQL databases.
Ideally have an understanding of
- (Industrial) communication, including Modbus TCP & RTU, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, CAN-bus, RS232 and RS485.
- IT systems, such as ERP, MES, WMS.
- Industrial Control Systems, such as PLC & SCADA systems..
- Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Familiar with industrial edge computing technologies.

- Cyber Security for internet facing Full Stack solutions.
- Reverse Proxy’s, Nginx, HA-proxy.
- Linux OS, ideally Debian based.
- Cloud deployment, Azure & AWS.
- Software Containerization, such as Docker, Podman & Kubernetes.
